A visual issue
If you got your time back
Would you take it, or fill it? A visual journey through this week's episode. Scroll slowly, and notice what your body does.
§ 01The room
I asked a room of parents and caregivers what is blocking them from solving the chaos. Twelve answers came back, with no names.
Which one made you flinch?
Tap it. Even if it is not the one you would say out loud.
§ 02The hour
Everyone I talk to says they want their time back. A friend who has spent years watching how people use their data told me that, deep down, most of us want to stay busy. I felt that one in my chest. I think she is a little bit right.
If that block were gone tomorrow, what would you do with the first free hour?
One task leads to another.
Notice what your body does with an empty hour.
§ 03Underneath
The same list that keeps you in the chaos keeps you from hearing yourself. You cannot hear your own inner voice when you are context switching all day and the only quiet hour is after nine.
So I calm the life down first. We set up the help that catches the school emails, the doctor referrals, and trash day, so your nervous system has a little room.
Calm enough is when the clarity comes. And that clarity is yours. I only clear the room.
§ 04The questions
A friend reminded me this week that what moves people is a good question, asked gently enough that you feel it.
Rest your attention in your chest or your belly. Breathe with the circle. Read each question on the exhale.
If you got your time back, would you take it, or fill it?
Who in your house would feel it first if your nervous system got a little quieter?
When did you last feel taken care of?
What is the smallest step that would give you a little relief this week?
Maybe write your answers down, even if you think you are making it up. This is kind of how you learn to listen.
§ 05What I do, small
Every morning.
I say what is in my head, out loud.
A spoken brain dump.
One job at a time.
The talk has the steps.
It drafts. I send.
So I know this from the inside.
Last week I made a somatic journey because my body could not rest and I needed to feel the support it already has.
Your card for this week
The block you picked. The first free hour. The smallest step.
Save it to your phone and look at it once a day.
§ 06Let them be

I asked my inner voice what to do with all of this. It said, let them be, and then show them. So I am letting you be. If something moved, the episode is here. If nothing moved, that is okay too.
